![]() At first my server was the older gentleman who was at the host desk in front. My service was a little slow, but it could be because they had just opened for dinner and there were few staff there initially. ![]() I had a one day stay at the Hilton O'Hare Airport, and spotted this restaurant. Hilton - wake up! You used to be upscale, what happened? Consider putting a well-lighted modern restaurant, serving fresh innovative cuisine, in this facility, and lose the sleazy "men's club" atmosphere. The dining room, which you enter through a door labeled "telephone" (booth) was very dark and unappealing. The standard seafood appetizers seemed to please people, but to my taste, I would bet they had spent some time in the freezer prior to cooking. The food was only marginal: heavy on the steaks and greasy chicken smothered in cheese. I learned later that the old Chicago Gaslight Clubs were the "inspiration" for Hugh Hefner's Playboy Clubs in the 60's - there's a reason those clubs are largely defunct. ![]() There is no reason to dress professional waitstaff in this manner. Actually, outdated and stupid for any purpose. ugh! It was embarrassing and inappropriate for business. As a woman business executive, I am not comfortable being served by women who are dressed so scantily: tight corsets, revealing bustiers, fishnet stockings. Business dinner that night was scheduled for the Gaslight Club. Staying overnight at the Chicago O'Hare Hilton, a fairly nice business hotel, we had a two day meeting on site.
